It is worthwhile visiting this historic and colourful town situated in delicate surroundings halfway between Vienna and Budapest, and hosting a vast array of architectural, cultural and natural treasures. Győr, also called the town of rivers, is located barely a few kilometres from the banks of the Danube. It is one of Hungary’s biggest towns with 130.000 inhabitants. 2500 years ago the Celts called this settlement Arrabona.
